Monday

Good morning!  How was your weekend?  We tried to keep it cozy here, we've had a ton of rain, much needed of course, and it was perfect hang out and be cozy weather.  The temps were so balmy we could have the windows open to get some much needed fresh air inside.

What did you do this past weekend?  Anything fun?   Tell me all about it! Was it sewing, was it fun?  Can't wait to hear about it!  xo

All we do here is shovel snow. There's 15 foot snow banks in front of our house. It has been an epic winter. Snowing again today with another 10" coming on top of the 8" we got over the weekend. But I'm not complaining.

The weekend in Idaho was gorgeous! Unseasonable warm weather for sure.....February is usually our coldest month, but we have been hitting the 60's! Crazy. This weekend was packed with my UFO's quilted three small tops ready for binding today, and making 18 hat pins! Definitely a crafty weekend!

I taught a seed starting class and the students left me with some knowledge too, so that was fun! Sewing wise I finished a small cross stitch that I haven't worked on in quite a while and found I really enjoyed it. My aging eyes are not really counting accurately but,I was able to fudge it and I love the results!

I sewed a few of my log cabin blocks together, but it was mostly just cleaning.

I've been 'constructing' Lori Holt's - Mixing it up pattern (Kitchen Mixer blocks). I got a bit carried away and made a 'few'(4) quilts. You see, I was going to make a few wall hangings with the blocks and then thought they look nicer in a quilt and....then felt I needed a better mix of colors....and....! I love them, just wish I had the means to quilt them like in her pattern.
Ahh - rain - sounds wonderful. Trade you for all the snow :)!

I went to the musical "Cinderella" in Denver over the weekend and also went to the Cartier exhibit which is touring the country. Fabulous jewelry. Amazing. Gorgeous. Diamonds, emeralds, rubies. Just incredible. Also saw the movie "The boy next door" starring Jennifer Lopez. Good thriller... Gonna miss my daughter who is moving seven hours away tomorrow! She's the one I do things with. :(

Hardly any sewing going on here. But last night when pressing a quilt top to package up and go to Natalia I decided to add an extra row. So I spent some time hunting down scraps and doing the cutting. Maybe later this week.
